Pinterest Thorpeness Beach To The Meare
THE DUNE HOUSE
Finished in 2011 and available for rent via Living Architecture, this is the latest addition to the Thorpeness sea front. The views from the inside must be wonderful from the ground floor, while you can laze in the bath watching the waves from the mercifully less exposed bedrooms on the first floor. Meanwhile for less exhibitionist visitors there is also a shower in each bedroom’s en-suite shower room.

If you do decide to rent though, for some years the architecture will guarantee you a procession or photographers staring in trying to get just the right glint of sunshine from the roof.  (I need to have another go on a sunnier day!)
Dune House won an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2012.
